An international and renown company from Czech Republic, ACTUM Digital, is looking for a senior API engineer to join their hybrid team. This position would be remote at first and ideally, the candidate should be willing to discuss the possibility of relocation to Prague later on. Job description:

● Support internal teams and external partners with Conrad API related topics (advise all teams in regard to APIs, work in a community of practice with people from other teams, help teams to set up Apigee gateway proxies/configurations, and take care of the developer portal and operational tasks (hands-on)).

● Ensure operation of the SaaS API gateway and the developer portal, automate recurring activities (writing CI/CD pipelines), optimize central monitoring/logging and deployment/run services, and maintain the integration between API gateway and identity provider.

● Provide a platform for teams who are developing and designing APIs and want to get them unified and published, run deployment scripts, configure files that manage traffic in the microservice infrastructure, and provide debugging support.

● Ensure consistency of our APIs and their documentation.

● 4 years of experience, Web APIs, Apigee, XML/JSON, GCP, Python, CI/CD, OAuth-/OIDC-Provider, Swagger/OpenAPI Spec, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Microservices, Javascript, Node.js.

● You have software architecture experience, and you are comfortable with using API gateways for publishing and analyzing APIs.

● You know the advantages of cross-platform applications and you want to ensure that both public and internal APIs are consumable and secure.

● You have knowledge of authentication methods (e.g. access and ID tokens).

● Strong soft skills (communication, mentoring, development processes, risk management, agile knowhow).

Plus:

● Frameworks Angular/React, Vue.js (to support vue.js applications to run as smoothly as possible).

● Istio, Identity and Access Management (integration).

● Some understanding of backend/API software development.

Languages:

● English min. B2
