Opis posla:

1. Budgeting and Financial Analysis

1. Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions, recording, classifying and summarising financial transactions in accordance with local accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
2. Providing detailed financial and cash flow analysis, providing written monthly analysis.
3. Ensures that all transactions comply with appropriate tax regulations (VAT & other taxes) and submitting all tax filings as requested by law and existing regulations.
4. Ensures the monthly balance and reconciliation process for suppliers, customers, banks and shareholders.
5. Ensures the integrity of the data held within the finance systems and the security of the related data entry processes.

2. Accounting & Reporting

6. Manages and maintains the fixed asset register of the organisation.
7. Ensures the key financial processes are properly documented and updated.
8. Manages and maintains the Chart of Accounts.
9. Cooperates with external auditors to carry out annual external auditing requirements.
10. Using appropriate software applications, such as spreadsheets, statistical packages and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and format data for accounting and reporting purposes.

3. Systems Optimisation

11. Develops and maintains internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
12. Assesses and proposes systems and process improvements to drive efficiency in service provision and quality of support given to internal customers.

Zahtevi:

Minimum Qualifications

• University Degree in Accounting &/or Finance
• Chartered Certified Accountant

Job-Specific Experience

Essential

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience
• Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Working knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
• Experience of owning and producing statutory financial statements
• Demonstrate advanced spreadsheet reporting skills
• Advanced MS Office skills, specifically strong capability in MS Excel
• Extensive experience of computerised accounting systems, with understanding and ability to develop the capabilities of these systems

Desirable

• Experience of Sun Systems and Vision
• Experience of MNE tax compliance
• Experience of group consolidation procedures
• Experience of transfer pricing and tax issues
• Experience of implementation of general accounting processes and organisational development

Person Specification

• Strong analytical skills in order to analyse and interpret reports accurately and ability to develop systems to optimise performance
• Excellent command of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and in particular, Excel.
• Acts with discipline & independence to deliver activities which support the strategic plan,
• Communicates clearly and openly with stakeholders, sharing relevant information in an accurate, effective and timely manner
• Sound influencing skills to build effective relationships and manage boundaries & expectations.
• Works with complexity; demonstrates effective decision-making skills, taking information and establishing actions necessary.
• Advanced problem solving & trouble shooting skills, demonstrating analytical and diagnostic skill and able to propose & deliver solutions.
