MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:

To manage, control and coordinate the various On-shore and Off-shore logistics operations. To support the Base Manager and to act on his behalf during his absence, upon due delegation of authority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

• Strategically plan, coordinate and monitor all logistic operations such as warehouse, inventory and transportation;
• Liaise with the Shipping Agent in preparing customs documentation and ensure that shipments adhere to all applicable laws;
• Facilitate the import / export of goods;
• Verify that all logistic activities are performed according to plans and best practice standards;
• Ensure that bunkering activity is carried-out in accordance to Company policies and best industry practices;
• Assist the  management for studies and development  of logistics strategies
• Support the logistic manager to draft logistics ITTs;
• Periodical monitoring  the logistics Base budgets;
• Ensuring compliance to safety and safe executions during Logistics Operations;
• Base Logistics staff periodical appraisal;
• Ensure all operations adhere to international/national laws and Company polices / guidelines and liaise  with the local authorities;
• Applying Company’s HSE Policies & Management System Requirements;
• Reporting all Accidents / Incidents and Unsafe Acts / Conditions in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong academicals background (Economics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar deegres);
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry desirable but not mandatory;
• Proven experience in managing customs clearance & facilitating port operations;
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, ideally operating experience in remote areas under constantly challenging circumstances;
• Excellent oral and written English;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Extensive HSE knowledge desirable;
